Lago Vista Martial Arts

Lago Vista ATA Black Belt Academy is the only Songahm Taekwondo martial arts school on the North Shore of Lake Travis.

Over the past few years, we have provided fun, but meaningful martial arts training to students ranging from as young as 5 years to students in their 60s and beyond.

ATA News

Great News!! It's T-shirt time again... Students can wear an ATA T-shirt or a plain white T-shirt with no writing on it to class, beginning May 1. T-shirts are to be worn with white TKD pants and belt. If you don't have the appropriate T-shirt, a shirt will be provided at the ATA school for $5. Graduation is still in full uniform.

We have a busy summer coming up. See some details below.

Next Color Belt Graduation on Friday, May 18 at 6.45pm (all students). Registration Forms & Intent Letters are due on May 17. Download forms here: Graduation Registration - Intent Letter (PDF documents).

There will be a Black Belt Extravaganza on May 19. The location and time to be confirmed.

ATA will participate in the Talent Show at LV Elementary School on May 25 at 6.30pm. Try-outs for the talent show takes place at LVES on May 15.

ATA will be closed on May 28 for Memorial Day.

Janice Huling's Zumba class classes are Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm. Come have some fun and get in shape!!! Cost is $7 to Janice.

Future Color Belt Graduation Dates for 2012: July 20, Sep 14, and Nov 2. These dates may change if anything unforeseen arises.

Summer 2012

Dates: starting June 7, 2012

  • Character & Leadership Building: A class aimed at 3-5 year olds that teaches Behavior, Focus, and Self-Control. It is ideal for kids entering elementary school in August. This will be a 45-minute class held twice a week. Cost is $8 per class or $150 for all classes.
  • Camp Safety, Health & Awareness will be held from July 9 - 12. It will be the only camp that we host this summer.
  • Our Summer Care Program is open for enrollment now.
  • We will have an Open House prior to the start of summer to provide more information and answer your questions. The date will be announced later.

We will announce more details as it is finalised.


Theme of the Month - May

Respect: Respectful people value others and treat others as they want to be treated themselves. Look people in the eye when you talk to them. Always say, "yes, sir" or "yes, ma'am". Use good language. Behave like a Black Belt in class and outside class. Listen to others without interrupting them.
